Ellie Stanislav is a visual artist based in West Michigan. She has received both a BFA in Studio Art (ceramics) and a BA from the Residential College in the Arts and Humanities at Michigan State University. Stanislav has participated as an Artist-in-Residence at the Stifel Fine Arts Center in Wheeling, WV and is currently a resident at the Kalamazoo Institute of the Arts. Her work has been shown throughout the region and is a form of reflection and a way to nurture reconnection—a space for her to first explore and then communicate ideas about place and displacement, memories and stories, change and acceptance.
